New Year – New Open Courses

Relocare had a great and successful 2011. Thus we start the new year full of optimism. Our goal is to contribute to a more dynamic, international job market with plenty of opportunities. Once again we have underlined, that we can rise to the challenges we face. Last year we helped many, both companies and employees, with living up to their full potential, and 2012 already lines up, to be an even stronger year for Relocare.

Strong competencies and skills are the most important assets, if you want to make it in a globalised world. But they are worth nothing, if your employees don’t have the right tools to do business across borders.

Relocare offers open courses, where everyone in need of sharpening their cultural awareness and strengthening the global mobility, can sign up. We offer options targeted at understanding the cultures of both solid markets and the ones on the rise - from Germany to China. Find the course that fits you or your employees here!

The Middle East in March

When it comes to cultural prejudices, one of the most difficult regions for European businesses to weather the storm, is the Middle East. On 13th March Relocare will dig into the biases and assumptions, which are brought into the workplace on both sides, when the Danish and Middle Eastern Muslim culture meets in the workplace. The participants at this Open Course will bring home useful tools for problem solving, hopefully benefitting the teamwork and communication in the company.

We have already held several courses in January, and are adding new ones regularly. So hurry over to our registration form at our website, where you will find the full list of courses. The next upcoming course is by the end of February, where we will be focusing on developing powerful intercultural leadership, by offering each person a unique intercultural competence evaluation, and providing concrete solutions on how to retain good international employees. This will help foreseeing the problems that way too often develop from cultural differences.

This and many other courses have a limited number of seats, so don’t hesitate for too long!

Both Linked In and Facebook have become a part of our virtual home. Follow Relocare, and be sure to get the latest info on new open courses, take part in the debates and receive selected news on the Danish and international job market - relevant for both employees and HR-staff.

One of Region Sjællands promising companies

Relocare has developed a lot during the last year, and we are not planning to slow down. Recently we have become a part of Region Sjællands new initiative for rising entrepreneurships, Vækstfabrikkerne.

This includes support from mentors with lifelong experience of carrying on a business, and will hopefully strengthen both our business and professional network. Before us, many other companies have benefitted greatly from this initiative, and we definitely see a lot of potential in getting this boost.

Relocare has been chosen because of our effort to expand and make it internationally. We are honored and will definitely acknowledge it, with even more drive and punch. You can only expect to see even more of us in the future!

CONNECT Denmark

Relocare is a success, and not least because of the board members, which joined in 2011. The entrepreneurship kick starter, CONNECT Denmark, has been a great help in this process.

Managing director, Else Christensen, met with CONNECT Denmark recently, and had a small chat on the positive impact that the board has made on the business of Relocare. This turned into an insightful article on Relocare, which you can read in Danish here.

The board of Relocare is chairman Rasmus Wiinstedt Tscherning, Managing director of The Center for Culture and Experience Economy (Center for Kultur- og Oplevelsesøkonomi), Ellen Støttrup Als, former VP of HR for Mærsk and Thomas Juhl, former VP for the Global Service Center in the LEGO-group.

A strong team that has already shown what they are made of, and surely will bring even more growth to the thriving business of Relocare.

China - Everyone’s talking about it,
we teach it

Ask any little schoolchild: Who makes the presents for Christmas? And they will know. The inside of their sneakers and the footprint of the G. I. Joe-doll give them the answer: MADE IN CHINA.

China is on the lips of everyone, and with good reason!

It’s no longer just toys and clothing that come from the Far East; it’s also knowledge workers with highly developed skills. Between 600.000 and 800.000 engineers are hatched from the Chinese Universities every year, the investments in new technologies are sky high and the number of internet users has for many years been on a steady rise - estimated to reach half a billion users in a few years. And the pile of facts, to underline the success of China, could be made far bigger.

It is true - China is both the growth engine of today and tomorrow. But far from everyone knows how to make it in a market so different from the western ones, or how to work and do business with the Chinese.

We can deliver a service, which can be the most important steppingstone in conquering the Chinese market. Our Culture Course on Chinese cultural awareness has received nothing but good reviews! So be sure to join our next Culture Course on China, 23rd March 2012.

From our latest Culture Course on China, 13th January 2012, we got this great testimonial, from one of our participants:

“Great course, with a good balance between presentations and assignments, since the course is very intensive. I brought home a lot of useful advice, which hopefully will help me in a situation, e.g. where the communication gets stuck”

In our Reference Section at relocare.dk, you can find many more testimonials, from people whom have enjoyed our services.

We believe, that the reason why, we get such positive response, is because we don’t just teach lessons out of a textbook, but base our courses on cases and real world experience, presented in a useable context. We have a genuine desire to pass our knowledge on, so that others might benefit from it. Relocare has also established ourselves with an office in Beijing, and will keep China as a top priority far into the future.

Best Regards

Relocare
