Getting rid of your money won't be a problem in Denmark. In most shops you can pay with payment cards like VISA, American Express or MasterCard. Most Danes own a national payment card called a Dankort – which is very often combined with VISA. Relocare will be happy to guide you through shopping and paying in shops and on the internet as well. The Danish monetary system is based on the currency Danish kroner, DKK. One krone is 100 øre. The Danish krone is a fairly strong currency tied to the Euro. You can check the actual rate on the internet or at your local bank, but normally 7,5 DKK would buy one Euro. At www.valutakurser.dk, you will find the accurate exchange rate, as well as a currency converter.
