Getting rid of your money won't be a problem in Denmark...
The Danish monetary system is based on the currency DKK, Danish kroner. One krone consists of 100 øre.
The Danish krone is a fairly strong currency. You can check the actual status on the internet or at your bank, but normally the currency would be 7,5 kroner on a Euro, 10 kroner on a pound and 5 kroner on the dollar.

At www.valutakurser.dk you will find the accurate currency, as well as a calculator.

In most shops you can pay with cards like VISA, American Express, Master Card and other. Most danes have what we call a Dankort, a Dancard, very often combined with a VISA.

If you pay cash, it might be worth knowing the range of coins an bills: The smallest coin is 50 øre. We also have a one krone, 2 kroners, 5 kroners, 10 kroners and 20 kroners. We also have bills: 50 kr., 100 kr. 200 kr. 500 kr. and 1.000 kr.
